Preparation and magnetic properties of pulse magnetic compression switch cores

Abstract:The principle of pulse magnetic compression and magnetic properties requirements of magnetic compression switch were introduced. The 25 mm wide amorphous ribbons of Fe73.5Cu1Nb3(SiB)22.5 alloy were prepared by planar flow casting method. Cores of Fe73.5Cu1Nb3(SiB)22.5 alloy were prepared by metal oxide coating, resin coating and magnetic field heat-treatment. The cores of Fe73.5Cu1Nb3(SiB)22.5 alloy show high square ratio, low coercive force and low core loss, and they meet the properies requirements of magnetic compression switch.
