Abstract:The research status of 3D printing technology in the aerospace field was summarized in this paper, the
characteristics of geometric components with complex structures and topology optimization processed by 3D print‐
ing technology were introduced. The development of 3D printing preparation technology applied in the aerospace
field at home and abroad was emphatically described, including metal based materials, directed energy deposition
technology (DED), powder bed fusion molding (PBF) and post-processing technologies, as well as manufactured
aerospace components. The advantages-disadvantages of 3D printing technology in the aerospace field were sum‐
marized, and technical improvement and research direction were prospected.
