Abstract:The powders of n- type pseudo- ternary (Bi2Te3)0. 90(Sb2Te3)0. 05(Sb2Se3)0. 05 thermoelectric materials contained rare earth Er by mechanical alloying. XRD analyzing results showed that pseudo- ternary crystal with rare earth Er were alloyed by 100h ball milling, the particle sizes reach to 5- 50nm after 100h ball milling. N- type pseudopotential ternary doped Er alloy cold- pressed sintered bulk material was prepared at sintering time of 0. 5h and Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity for samples were measured at room temperature. Thermoelectric performance test results showed that it was found that the absolute of Seebeck coefficients become decrease from 450- 530℃. Moreover, the electrical coefficient of the samples become large with increasing of the sinter temperature. It was found that the absolute values of Seebeck coefficients increase from 0%- 0. 2% Er (mass fraction) and then decrease from 0. 2%- 2. 0% Er (mass fraction) and the maximum was 159. 6μV·K-1 at 0. 2% Er (mass fraction), the electrical coefficient of the samples is gradually large with increasing of Er.
