Abstract:Laser welding on 20Mn2 pipes has been conducted in detail Microstructure and property of welded joint are analyzed by optical metallurgical microscope, scanning electron microscope, micro- hardness tester The microstructure and property of laser welded joints on 20Mn2 pipes with different laser powers, welding speeds and defocus amounts are studied It shows that the maximum weld depth was got when the laser power is 2 400 W, the welding speed is 73 mm/s and the defocus amount is 0 mm When the laser power is 1 200 W, the welding speed is 73 mm/s and the defocus amount is 0 mm, the maximum value of micro- hardness is 3824HV10 The main microstructure of weld is lath martensite The main microstructure of heat affected zone is ferrite, pearlite ,bainite and lath martensite
