Preparation and magnetic properties of Fe-based nanocrystalline common mode choke (CMC) cores

Abstract:CMC cores (40 mm×25 mm×15 mm) were made from Fe-based nanocrystalline ribbons with different thickness which were prepared by planer flow casting method. The properties of cores depended on ribbon thickness and heat-treatment process. Thinner ribbon had better properties under high frequency. The best annealing temperature was 565 ℃ without magnetic field, and the best annealing temperature was 575 ℃ with magnetic field. It is important to select appropriate ribbon thickness and heat-treatment process to meet performance requirement of cores.
