Abstract：Accidents of Lithium-ion power battery occur frequently in domestic and overseas, and the scale of lithium-ion power battery is increasing day by day. For the purpose of improving and enhancing the current safety standards of Lithium-ion power battery products in China, the characteristics of safety standards for lithium ion power battery both at home and abroad, such as GB-T 31485, UL1642, UN 38.3 and IEC62660，are discussed in details based on applications, sample numbers, certain test conditions and external conditions. This work has practical significance in improvement on safety evaluation standard of lithium ion traction battery, it is also expected that this work can provide reference for establishing more scientific quantitative testing and evaluation methods.
