Abstract:The WC solid solution alloy coating was prepared under the condition of vacuum hot- melt WC solid solution. The alloy coating preparation process, micro- structure, phase structure and the characteristics of the distribution of alloy elements and micro- hardness were researched. Results showed that the organic forming agents were rolled into a fibrous form and a crisscross pattern with three- dimensional reticular structure in the process of rolling, which combined the dispersed powder particles together to form a flexible and bendable powder blanks. More important, the thickness of the coating can be adjusted by roll spacing. In the vacuum sintering stage, WC solid solution and 45 steel substrate combined with high strength in metallurgical combination. Coating surface hardness increased with the content of WC solid solution, but the shear bond strength of the coating increased and then decreased slightly. When the content of WC solid solution was 85% in coating, surface hardness was 1132HV (HV30), shear bond strength reached to 407 MPa.
